Miss Me But Let Me Go
When I have come to the end of the road
and the sun has set for me.
I want no rites in a gloom-filled room,
Why cry for a soul set free?
Miss me a little... but not to long.
and not with your head bowed low.
Remember the love that we once shared.
Miss me... but let me go.
For this is a journey we all must take,
and each must go alone.
It's all part of the master's plan,
a step on the road to home.
When you are lonely and sick of heart,
go to the friends we know,
and bury your sorrows in
doing good deed's...
Miss me.... Let me go.

We
once rode side by side.
Handlebars nearly touching.
Clad in leather, faces weathered.
Roaring like thunder.
Hour after hour never speaking a word.
I called you my friend.
You called me your brother.
Now – as I ride.
I leave a space left open to my side.
Tears run from behind my glasses.
Remembering our last ride.
I’ll add you name to my patches.
Wear it with pride.
Knowing someday – we will again be
Riding side by side.

Here are thoughts of Friends and relatives
April 20, 2004
"We Will Ride Again"
Tonight as we look at the heavens above,
We thank God for the gift of you and your love.
You came and you went, your life was so brief.
We were left alone in so much disbelief.
But tonight as we look at the heavens above,
We see magic among angels and we feel your love,
You did not die, you are just peaceful and free,
Loving, and giving and waiting to see.
So goodnight sweet angel, we all love you so.
The hardest part was just letting you go.
There'll come a time when we will once more,
Share all the magic, laughter, and love evermore.

Took a while to come up with what I wanted to say because even though I can't say that I knew you as well as everyone else did - your being gone is a great impact- you will be missed so much. Every time we were around you I can think of only the great times we had riding and going to bike week and you making fun of me on my bike. Thank you for being such a good memory. Alexis says she will miss you too. "See you on the other side". Lots of love to the family.

To my crazy big brother, I will miss your smile and your laugh that was so contagous to all who knew you. May your soul be at rest and peace in your heart. I will think of you often and pray you were here. Each time I see a Harley my eyes will fill with tears, for the life you displayed while riding. We will meet again, I promise! I love you.
